A driver for new hardware I am trying to install fails to install
completely. After finding the correct driver and clicking install I get 2
error messages: CMDNINST an error has occured in your program. I close that
message and get 2nd error.
CMDNINST has caused an error in COMMCTRL.DLL CMDNINST will now close. This
hardware installed without any problems with my Win 98SE desktop. I am
trying to install on SONY XG700 notebook with Win ME. I even reinstalled Win
ME on this computer and got the same messages. So far the Driver
manufacturers support has not come up with a solution. Any suggestions would
be greatly appreciated.
