Reload ME

How do I reload Windows ME from the CD without losing all my :stuff"?
I have been told it has to be from the DOS prompt, is that correct and =
how is that done?

What problems are you having that make you think you have to reinstall, if
you post here someone should be able to help and save you having to do
that.
