I want to upgrade my home PC from Windows ME to Windows XP
Home Edition. The Upgrade Advisor says I won't be able to
use NETBEUI on XP, as it's not supported. I don't
understand enough about what NETBEUI is to know if that's
a showstopper for me. How can I tell if I'm even using
NETBEUI protocol.

When I go to Control Panel, Network, the Primary Network
Logon is Windows Logon. I'm not part of any network, and
access the internet through cable (is that pertinent?)

I'd appreciate any assistance. Thanks!

Don't worry about it - you are not using NETBUI.

And, if you did, for some reason, the XP CD does have it as a separtae
installation.
