Lost thumbnail preview in Windows explorer

For some reason, I've lost the 'thumbnail' preview when I go to 'view -
thumbnails'. I get the larger icons, but they only have the magnifying
glass icon within.
Can someone please help?

You could try the following and with a bit of luck all will be well again.

Start | Run and type "REGSVR32 THUMBVW.DLL" at the Start>Run prompt. (no
quotes and note the space after the 32) Then OK
