could somebody please direct me to a website in which
will give me the option to create a windows98 dos boot up
disk? i am in a huge hurry to help a fellow college
student fix up her poor laptop which is running winme and
i need to change it to win98, i have all of the software,
but need the dos boot disk. please hurry

Most laptops require an operating system that was tailor made for it. By
changing to a retail version of W98, it's possible to physically damage her
machine. I suggest that you not do this unless you are prepared to cover
any damages. A better fix might be to use the WinME disk that came with the
laptop. It should be a bootable CD and probably will not require a floppy
start up disk to install it.

Good. To avoid other recurring problems as some people fail to read the
directios at bootdisk site, here's what you do with the results.
Double click it, so it will open another file.
Put a blank floppy diskette in the floppy drive.
Double click the newly created file.
It should be creating the diskette.
Under not circumstances should you copy either file to the floppy, the
results are not what was sought.
