HP890C

After updating with 98SE my HP890C won't print in color.
The printer test prints out georgeous color, but when I
attempt to print greeting cards, photos, etc., I get
black/white. I have added a USB modem at the same time I
updated to 98SE, but that's all I have done differently.
Also, when I go into printers to select 890C, I can't find
it although 890C is checked as the default printer. HELP!
