Spool 32

Since installing a second printer I regularly receive the
message that Spool 32 has caused an invalid page fault.
The system then freezes.
The system is also liable to crash unexpectedly when I try
to use the printer. I always ensure that the printer I
wish to use is set as default. I run windows 98 and have
ample hard drive space and memory.
Could part of the problem be that both printers are USB
2 , while my compuer has USB 1 which I gather is slower.
