no response from printer

I have windows 98 and up until recently was using a canon
2200x printer with usb connection. Now my printer wont
work! I keep getting a no repsonse icon. the printer is
all connected up and working but wont print. When I
intially bought this printer it took me a long time to get
it to work but i did but not sure how. The USB and
printer ports report no faults. Can anyone help? I have
spent hours trying to rectify the problem.

Can't find 2200x anywhere, are you sure this is the correct model?
