I have tried to load some files from a flash disk on to my
home computer running on Windows 98 V2 but the system does
not recognise or have a suitable driver. Is there a
software patch I can load so that 98 will host flash disks

Many thanks

Only if the flash drive manufacturer has the drivers, otherwise no.

You need to get a driver for the flash drive. Try the manufacture of the
flash drive

As an example here are drivers for simpletech

http://www.simpletech.com/support/index.php#software

Here you can get them for Sandisk

> Hi tony,

Is your flash pack for smart media cards 3.3v cards ?
mine came with drivers for win 95 & 98 on a floppy.
If suitable I could ZIP the drivers and e mail.

I have a SanDisk Cruzer Mini 256MB that I'm trying to
install on my computer (WIN98SE), but it can't find the
drivers. I went to www.sandisk.com and dowloaded the
driver files but when I point to the folder to install the
driver, still can't find the drivers.

They actually give instructions on the download pagee:

Download Instructions:
NOTE: Driver is ONLY for 98SE. The driver is not required for Windows ME,
W2k or XP

1. Download and install the driver

2. When the window pops up choose "Open"

3. Next it will show you a self extracting window choose "UNZIP".

4. It will extract to the Windows Temp folder, it will say 12 files
extracted successfully

5. Choose "OK"

6. You will see the InstallShield Wizard, choose "NEXT"

7. It will Pop up a window telling you it installed successfully.

8. Choose "FINISH"

I believe the files are zipped. You need to download them then extract the
files from the zip file and run the setup.exe file per the directions at San
