more info for Help!

We have a used pc from gateway with windows ME and want it
like new,no software and it's loaded with stuff we are not
sure of, we were told we could install another windows and
it would erase the old windoes. We don't know what version
yet cose we'er not sure if this will mess any thing up.
Will this work without having to buy a cleaner disk.

Your PC *should* have come with a set of CD's - one of which is almost
certainly a Restore/Recovery CD - which will take your system back to
'as-new' condition. Read the documentation that should also have come with
the system for more details on how to use that/those disks.
