Hi Cari,

Thanks for answering my message...but...perhaps you can
help me again because your answer, while much appreciated,
was actually not what I needed. But, you seem to know
what you're talking about so...

I am familiar with the procedure. However, when I try to
add the additional driver on the W2K machine, it goes
through the dialog boxes and gets to the screen where you
select the printer. This particular model is not listed,
so I click on "Have disk" and point it to the driver
location (the temp folder, as mentioned). It then asks
for some file off the W2K installation disk, which we have
online, so that goes ok, but then...

It asks for the location of a file called HPFDJ50.INI,
which it claims should be on a Win95 or Win98 cd. I have
checked EVERY file on a Win98 OS cd and it's not there and
I can't find it anywhere online. The additional driver
installation will not let me proceed past this step.

So..once again, any help would be much appreciated. Thank
you very much!!!!

Rebecca

Try pointing it back at the HP installation files. That's where I'd expect
to find any file that starts with the letters HP.
