missing file

I use windows ME. my screen is like safe mode and says
can't find fila CMICNFG.CPL HOW CAN I FIX THIS.PLEASE HELP

CMICNFG.CPL is the Control Panel applet used by C-media audio. You may
need to reinstall your audio drivers or possibly those for your modem.

How long has this been a problem? Have you changed your sound card
recently? One possibility you might want to consider if this problem has
only started in the last few days is to use system restore to roll your
system back to the state it as in before this problem started but only do
this if that was no more than a few days ago - a week at the most.
