I'm trying to find out how to reinstall the full range of
included printer drivers.
Only HP and Lexmark are showing now.
Does anyone know which folder these are stored in and how
to restore them from the install CD?

If you go to Add printers and do not get a list of manufacturer's then the
inf files for printers may be missing or damaged. In the \windows\inf
folder (a hidden folder), you should have Msprint.inf, Msprint2.inf and
Msprint3.inf. These files list the available printers in Windows when you
run the Add printer wizard.

You also need the layout files from your version of Windows so that Windows
knows which cab file to look in to find the drivers that you choose.

If the printers (or other hardware) still don't show up, then rename
drvdata.bin and drvidx.bin (the driver information database will be rebuilt
the next time the hardware lists are displayed).

The drivers are all contained in the .cab files that are found in the \win98
folder on your installation CD. On OEM installations, they are also
generally found in a folder named \windows\options\cabs. You can also
search the hard drive for *.cab and see if you find them in another
location.
