ToggleKeys and no sound

I was reading about ToggleKeys and it sounded like a good idea, so I enabled
it.

But when I toggle any of those keys, there's no sound, just a very dim
click.

I have external speakers, and they are turned on and working.

Is there something more I have to do to get the sound?
